PRAYERS TO RID YOUR HOME OF GHOSTS

After seeing a vaguely human and barely visible form moving down the hallway, I studied the subject of ghosts.

Was the existence of ghosts a possibility? Were they simply demons in disguise?

Catholic writer Dr. Peter Kreeft wrote, "They [ghosts] seem to be working out some unfinished earthly business, or suffering some purgatorial purification until released from their earthly business."

With this in mind, I composed a prayer to rid the house of spirits. My sweet and beautiful daughter revised and improved the prayer, which you can read here:

Lord God, with humbleness of spirit, I beg You to pour out Your Mercy upon our household and eradicate the presence of the restless soul roaming our home.

In Your goodness, Lord, You have allowed this spirit to cross the hedge of protection around this home so that I may learn to trust in Your Mercy and protection.

Please guard this home and its inhabitants from invasions - both spiritual and physical - on behalf of the Passion of Your Son and the Tears of His Immaculate Mother.

Look now, O Lord, with Eyes of Mercy upon this creature whom You created and love.

Lord, grant the dead and dying forgiveness of their sins on behalf of the Suffering of Jesus, the King of Heaven: His Agony in the Garden, His Scourging, His Crowning with Thorns, His Carrying of the Cross, His Crucifixion, Death and Burial, all unjustly fixed upon Him so that Your Mercy and Blessings might pour out onto Your creations.

Allow restless souls to experience Your friendship for all eternity and banish malignant ones far from me, chained and bound, never to invade the home You have given me ever again.

I ask this in union with the prayers of Your Son, His Immaculate Mother, Your precious angels, all Your Saints, and the supplication of the prayers of the Poor Souls in Purgatory, so eager to dwell with You.

Amen

O my God, I love You above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because You are all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of You. I forgive all who have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.

Amen

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Protect this home and its occupants against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

Amen

(Officially, the Church does not promote belief in ghosts. However, it is a common belief among the saints that the Lord may at times permit the souls in purgatory to visit the living; hinted at in Luke 16:19-31.)

‪NOVENA TO SAINT PEREGRINE, PATRON SAINT OF CANCER PATIENTS‬‏

‪NOVENA TO SAINT PEREGRINE, PATRON SAINT OF CANCER PATIENTS‬‏: ""

Here is the story behind this video. After my daughter attended a First Friday Mass, an elderly gentleman spoke to her about how Saint Peregrine had healed him from cancer. He gave her a vial of Saint Peregrine Holy Oil and a prayer card.

To thank him, I have made this video.
